January 2018 Honoree
jennifer menzies, RN
My father passed away at the hospital. He had been admitted to ICU for severe pneumonia and unfortunately was simply unable to recover. My father spent the last few days of his life in Jennifer's care and she couldn't have been more warm, kind, and caring. Not only with my father but also with me and my family. I was waiting for my family to arrive so I was alone with him for nearly 3 hours, which I know were agonizing for my father. Jennifer clearly did not want to leave me alone too long, as I was clearly distraught. She sat and talked with me and did everything to make my father comfortable, prior to hospice's arrival. I am eternally grateful to her for her care and kind words. She is an amazing person and she symbolizes all that nurses should be. For everything, a sincere "Thank you."
Thank you, Jennifer, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
