I came in for my diabetes and hypertension, and Jen asked how I was doing. I told her that my son had committed suicide and lost my cousin on the same day and aunt the same week. Jen stopped what she was doing and asked if she could give me a hug. She said she knew what I was going through with the loss of losing someone to suicide and the unanswered questions. I asked how she handled it. She sat there, held my hand, and told me there were resources out there that would help. She offered to help set me up with some when I was ready.
