I received a call from Jennifer Neff regarding a patient that was to receive and I-31 injection and his ride fell through. The patient tried walking here from Bartow, but it was just too much in the heat. The patient called to cancel his appointment and when Jennifer found out and how important it was that he receive his medication that day she found out the address to the Auto Zone and sent a cab there to pick him up. She wrote a ticket to send him home, got the volunteers involved in making sure the taxi driver got his voucher, and that the staff in radiation oncology planned to stay until his treatment was done.

The patient was transported and received his medication all due to the quick thinking of Jennifer Neff. This was a collaborative effort organized by Jennifer for the best outcome for the patient.
