I had three patients who had a lot going on, at the same time that I was getting an admission who needed blood and platelets stat. Jen stopped and made sure I was okay and if I needed anything. I informed her that I had let two others know what I had coming up while I was going to be in giving blood but that in one of my rooms I needed a dressing change and needed a straight cath through his mitrofanoff before a certain time, but another nurse was going to help me out and take care of it. While walking down the hall to go get something, I passed by the room that needed the dressing change and straight cath and Jen was already in there taking care of the patient and doing everything for me without even hesitating.
Jen showed safe and effective care by her team work and exceptional service to her co-workers by helping out and taking care of my patient when I was not able to get something done by the time that it needed to be. Jen took it upon herself to jump in and help and it was very much appreciated.
