I recently just had a baby and had a stay in the hospital with my baby ending up in the NICU. Although we were only there for about a week I found that one of the nurses went above and beyond and could truly see the care and compassion from her. She treated it more than it was a job and she even talked with me when I was struggling with the circumstances of what was going on.
Jennifer was wonderful with everything she did. The way she took care of our son brought me comfort. I only wish we could have had her for the whole entire stay. She was always happy to help with anything and I saw the compassion she had for her job. One morning, in particular, I had come down to the room by myself to be with our boy and she was working. I had a breakdown and was crying and just upset about the whole situation we were in. She sat there and talked with me like a friend would do. This isn't something she's required to do but it made me feel so much better. She helped me feel like everything wasn't falling apart and I can't thank her enough for that. Sanford is lucky to have someone with her big heart working for them. Any baby and family that gets to have her even for a shift should know they are in good hands. I wish I could say more but it's hard to even put it into words how much it truly meant to not just myself but my fiancé as well. We are forever grateful.
I could never even bring to words how grateful I am and was to have her for multiple days during our stay.
