Through programs that Jenny Pfieffer has initiated at Nemours for the first time, you can see her commitment to patient-centered care. She has truly dedicated her time to making the patient experience at Nemours relaxing, fun, non-threatening and a place where children and families want to return. During the time she has spent with patients, I have seen children's eyes light up with excitement and their whole experience change from scary to exciting. I have heard a patient tell her mom, "It's like I'm at Disney world". One patient with CP even moved his hand for the first time in a long time during her program. This commitment takes a lot of time, energy, sweat and smiles to pull off for the patients at Nemours and would not be possible without the commitment from her.
