When does a foot wound become a blessing? The answer is meeting a young nurse assigned to my carefully restoring Faith in youth. Jennifer becomes in charge as early as opening her vehicle for supplies. Her nonverbal communication is strong, but calm, confident, yet warm, and neat, organized and fully in charge.
As Jennifer works through the service call, the ruler to measure, the vitals fully explained, the wound cleansing, the bandage application, etc. I am awestruck, as her main strength is empathy. She truly can relate to people of all ages. Anxiety is not any part of Jennifer's care. She calls, she shows up on time, her control of the English language is articulate. Jennifer listens and she really hears.
