Jennifer Pizzarella's clinical skill and professionalism along with her compassion for caring make her stand out as an exceptional registered nurse.

Jennifer has been an outstanding role model for me to look up to. She goes above and beyond in not only caring for her patients but also contributing to her unit, team members and hospital as a whole. On one of my first days on orientation on our unit, Jennifer approached me and offered me a template she had made to help new nurses better prioritize and organize themselves for their shift. Almost a year later, I still use her advice when I start my shift so I may be better organized and prepared for my night.

Jennifer demonstrates a special connection with patients and their family members. She shows this by always giving exceptional care with a positive attitude and smile on her face. As a result, her patients also always seem to have a smile on their face when she is their nurse. She shows emotional support to her patients and family members by listening to their needs and offering support.

Jennifer consistently instills a prospect of optimism for patients, their families and colleagues. She is truly an exceptional nurse. This is why she deserves the DAISY Award.
