While my husband was a patient here for a week, I was here much of that time too. I was always greeted with a smile and warm hellos. Your nurse Jennifer Potter, JP as she is known on the floor, was one of my husband's nurses, which was outstanding! She has personality plus and could make him feel better just by her teasing banter and cheerful smile. He was a needy patient who was terrified of being in the hospital and nervous about his illness. She would come in and sit with him and really listen about what was concerning him and his illness, even coming to visit after hours.
His appetite was poor, and she would bring him treats to encourage him to eat. She even stopped to buy donuts and she looked after me in the same way!
She is a very special person, who made our stay away from home so much more pleasant, what a treasure and an asset to the VA!
