Jennifer Pound exudes compassion towards her patients: an example being a patient passed away and the wife was distraught. Jennifer used her knowledge and nursing wisdom by sitting with the patient, letting his wife expel her grief. The patient’s wife wanted to make sure that all of the family would be able to see him with the furthest child being over 2 hours away. Jennifer arranged for each family member to have closure. During this time, she managed to make sure that the needs of the family were met by offering snacks, drinks, and making phone calls. The family showed their appreciation by sending a thank you card.
