I would hug her because I appreciated her so much or she would hug me to comfort me.
My husband was diagnosed with COVID pneumonia and was in ICU most of his stay. He had been intubated before I could see him, so we never were able to talk to one another and say goodbye. Jennifer came in as one of his nurses to take care of him, like many others, but she was extremely compassionate with what we were going through. She could tell how much I loved him and helped take care of him and how distraught I was. It was a roller coaster because his vitals were all over the place. She always made sure he was clean and his hair was combed just like I told her he liked it. She was very gentle and attentive.

She was also there for me and I felt very close to her and I didn't even know her. At that time, the ICU was crazy with COVID patients. I loved it when she was working because I knew he would be well taken care of when I could not be there. I was always disappointed when I knew she wasn't coming in the next day, but I knew she needed her days off to recuperate.

I'm so thankful for her taking such good care of him. I know my husband would have appreciated her also. I would hug her because I appreciated her so much or she would hug me to comfort me. Jennifer stood out and I want to show her my appreciation. THANK YOU! My husband passed away in December and we were devastated. It's been very hard to go on, but I try to take it one day at a time. Thank you, all!
