The weekend after Christmas, I came into the ER for abdominal cramping and vaginal bleeding with a suspected miscarriage. We were over two hours from home after traveling for the Christmas holiday. I was initially hesitant to go to the emergency room, knowing that there was little the department could do if I were miscarrying. Although I went after it was my third day of bleeding, and obvious worry that I was miscarrying my baby.

When I was taken back to a room, the RN Jennifer and PA W made sure I was comfortable, had everything I needed, explained what they could do at this point, and how they were gonna help me in the best way they could. The care and compassion, and time they both took were more than we expected. Both Jennifer and W spent as much time as my finance and I needed answering questions and explaining every detail. Their care was phenomenal. They were open, honest, and straightforward forward all while educating and consulting with our emotions.

Once confirmed I was miscarrying, they never seemed in a rush or that our visit to the emergency room was a bother, which unfortunately seems to happen too often these days. Jennifer, RN, sat with my fiancé and me and even opened up about her own medical history with a similar story to ours, which helped us feel connected and comforted. PA W and RN Jennifer showed excellent bedside manner and unrecognizable patient care, and compassion. I hope that anyone who goes to his facility gets to come in contact with these two and feels the help that my fiancé and I were provided with.
