"I am a patient who had double operations, a colon cancer removal and a hernia repair. I have been in much pain since after these operations physically and mentally, fearing the worst about the cancer. My nurse Jennifer Quirk has been a beacon of hope for me assuring me I will be okay. Also, waiting on my every need medically. She was right about my cancer. I was informed by Dr. F this morning that I showed cancer free, what a relief. I could write pages commending the nurse for her care and being 8-9months pregnant. At this time, I implore you to award the DAISY Award to Jennifer Quirk. If J. Patrick Barnes were here he would also ask this award go to Jennifer Quirk. Jennifer is also a credit to her profession and will have people like me out telling the world what a good quality operation you have here at Franklin Square."

Furthermore, to note, this patient came in to read the nomination and present Jennifer with the Award on the morning of his own son's funeral, which is just how touched he was by Jennifer and her great care.
