Jennifer is the epitome of nursing collaboration. She never shies away from helping fellow nurses or staff, no matter how busy she might be. 

One day, I was extremely busy transferring a patient via Life Flight when I received a level 2 trauma admit. These are very busy admits who are in critical condition and need lots of nursing attention. Jennifer did not hesitate to jump in and start stabilizing and admitting my new patient while I finished with the Life Flight transfer. 

Jennifer not only performed patient care but completed my task list, did my admission education, noted any wounds, thoroughly cleaned the patient, and so much more. She also sat with the patient and comforted them while I was occupied.

Without Jennifer’s assistance, neither of my patients would have received the care they needed in a timely manner. She not only comforted the patient but lessened my mental load as well. I am always thankful to have Jennifer on the unit. She is an indispensable part of the SICU team!
