My mother entered the hospital via the emergency department. We ended up on the 5th floor in the care of Jennifer 3 days in a row. My mom, 84-years old, had fallen and as a result of several conditions was confused and extremely weak. I truly believe it was by divine appointment as she is a float nurse and we had Jennifer 3 days in a row. She is a model nurse, showing compassion, love, direction, and humor when needed to motivate my mother to get better.
Jennifer was very attentive to my mother emotionally and physically, despite how busy she was. I was always given the time necessary to ask questions (a lot of them) and allowed to vent my concerns and emotional trauma. She would be the role model to my students if I was the director of a nursing school!
