I went to the ED to get help because I was having suicidal thoughts and panic attacks. I was scared and panicking and was so upset I almost left but Jenn saw that I was freaking out and came over to talk to me. She kneeled down to get on my level and looked me in the eyes. She told me that I was not stuck there and I could leave at any point. She suggested that we talk in the common area where there was a TV. I felt so safe and Jenn spoke to me so logically, listened to my needs, and connected with me on a human level. She saw me as a human being with a mental health crisis instead of just a crazy person.
