The EMS brought E to our ER with a left shoulder injury and multiple abrasions to her face and body. She was admitted to the hospital. She lives alone in Tacoma with no close friends or family in the area. She has 2 adopted dogs and 4 cats who were home being neglected and she was very worried and anxious. She told me during the interview that Nurse Jen Reinhardt had her house keys and went after work to feed and check on her pets while she was our patient!
Jen went above and beyond normal hospital care, expectations and compassion to help E and her "loved ones" during her crisis event. A true act of kindness that everyone should emulate!
