Dr. Ridgway is recognized as a strong faculty mentor for students who is extremely passionate about her teaching, practice, and our community engagement. She embodies what it means to value patient care and constantly encourages students to pursue a career in which they practice to the extent of their scope of practice.  Dr. Ridgeway inspires students by reminding them how their experiences in the community will be valuable to their future patients, doing so with great enthusiasm and encouragement. Her passion for pediatric asthma is apparent and she instills in students that they truly can make a difference in the community with their nursing careers. She inspires students not only to advocate for patients in order to make a difference in health care but to one day help mentor other nurses beginning their careers just as she role models mentorship for them.
