My husband's grandmother was a patient on 3 South. She recently found out her cancer had spread to her brain, and the decision was made to go to inpatient hospice. Her appetite had greatly decreased and she hardly ate any of her food. Jennifer asked her if there was anything in the world she could eat what it would be. She replied, "I think I could eat a sweet potato". Jennifer went downstairs to the cafeteria and bought her a sweet potato and carried up every single possible topping there was. Thank you, Jennifer, for treating my family like your own, and for reminding me what nursing is all about!
