Jennifer Riordan
Jennifer has been an important part of my care at Hammersmith Hospital.
I had a thymectomy as part of my treatment for Myasthenia Gravis, and although she was on annual leave during my hospital stay, she still checked in with the team to ensure I was supported. The care I received from Jen afterward was exceptional. She managed my complications and has continued to play a key role in my recovery.
Her support has made a real difference at a time when I felt most vulnerable. There are many dedicated professionals in the NHS, but nurses like Jennifer stand out. She goes beyond her role to support patients, not just clinically but personally, helping them regain confidence and strength during recovery.
She is also committed to raising awareness of Myasthenia Gravis, a rare and often under-recognised condition, working with the team at Imperial to improve understanding and access to care. For her dedication, skill, and the lasting impact she has had on my recovery, I would like her to be recognized.
