I'm writing regarding one of your exemplary employees. Jenn stands alone when it comes to excellent patient care, compassion and knowledge in the ICU.
I have known Jenn for many years and have always known her to provide excellent care to both patients and their families. She comes to work prepared to care for the critically ill and consistently advocates for her patients. Jenn holds a knowledge base that allows her to react quickly and appropriately to rapidly changing situations in the ICU. She also is very compassionate to her patients and families that are in a time of need.
Today, was one of the many days that Jenn provided excellent care to a post-cardiac arrest patient. She spent countless hours providing outstanding care and reacting to his rapidly changing situation. She thought critically and used her expert assessment skills in order to help provide above standard care for this patient. Not only that, she took the time to update, educate and show compassion to the patient's family members during this very difficult time.
Not only is Jenn an excellent clinician, she is a team leader. She is always there to help assist and guide her peers during critical moments without hesitation. I have seen Jenn educate new nurses and encourage them to learn and raise their standards in order to provide outstanding care. Jenn is trusted by the providers who oversee the patients that she takes care of immensely.
I am very glad to work with such an excellent nurse in the ICU. Her knowledge, thoughtfulness, and caring are admirable. She should be very proud of her accomplishments in the nursing field and is a true DAISY Nurse.
