Several months ago, I was about to scan a very scared pregnant patient. She was sitting in the hallway while I prepared to bring her in and was visibly upset. You were on your way out the door from your overnight shift, yet you noticed her condition and you stopped to check on her. Not only did you stop, but you also took off your coat, put down your belongings and sat with her "off the clock" while I completed her scan. I know lots of healthcare workers who would stop to check on a patient who was upset, but you went above and beyond. Your action was so genuine and I could tell the patient just needed someone to lean on while she was having her test. Even though it has been months, I wanted you to know that I am still thankful for your actions that day (I am willing to bet that patient is too!) and you deserve the recognition! Thanks for being such an awesome nurse and coworker.
