I am a patient at DC VA Medical Center. The purpose of this email is to praise Ms. Simpson's amazing work. I first encountered Ms. Simpson at an extremely low point in my life. Although Ms. Simpson's job was to take my vitals before my appointment, she sensed something was wrong with me and, rather than ignoring her instincts, went above and beyond to get me the help I needed. As a result of Ms. Simpson's actions, I connected with services, such as suicide prevention and mental health, that helped bring me from a very dark place. Ms. Rampertaap, I cannot express my gratitude for Ms. Simpson's action, as I was truly at a point where I had given up. Since then, I have fully engaged in my treatment and have even met and married the love of my life. It is truly my hope that Ms. Simpson's actions be recognized because she truly made a difference in my life, for which I am forever grateful.
