How do you put into words when a fellow nurse/friend got you through the scariest moment of your life? Jennifer assisted my husband and mother in safely delivering my son home while we waited for EMS. This nurse first answered the phone, confirming that we didn't have time to leave the house and needed to call 911. She then helped me and my family prepare in 5 minutes that I was indeed going to have this baby at home and kept us all calm over the phone. She gave me the courage and strength by giving direct instructions and encouragement to be able to deliver my baby at home. She was our saving grace.

After arriving at the hospital with my son healthy in my arms, she met me in the ER to make sure we were both ok and brought all the staff we needed to continue to be cared for. I will never forget this nurse's ability to stay calm and composed while I'm sure she was scared, also. I could not have done this without her, and neither could my husband and mother. I will be forever grateful and touched by this nurse's ability to meet everyone's needs to make a very scary situation have the best possible outcome. I will remind her every day how much she means to our family!
