I thought Ms. Stefanik was a neuro-oncologist for the first few years after I became one of Dr. R's patients. Jennifer meets with me when Dr. R's understandably busy with other patients and all of my, now four, brain tumors are stable. She's always knowledgeable and well-informed. Jennifer also always has my needs in mind when she meets with me.

Two specific examples I can think of are her concern and immediate action after I'd had a back-to-back MRI & MRS while managing my frozen right shoulder. I don't cry easily but I was extremely uncomfortable and teary that day. She prescribed me a pain medication to take before and after my next MRI & MRS.

A second example is that every time I've needed additional help that I don't want to bother the doctor with, Jenn's the first to respond and take care of whatever it is I need. From her helping me complete the Community Servings application in anticipation of chemotherapy (whenever the fourth tumor grows again) to her connecting me with someone, who in turn helped me with my transition from MA Health to Medicare and has answered my questions along the way ever since.

I imagine Jennifer Stefanik has been nominated several times already but I cannot speak highly enough of her. It's also obvious that she's beloved on the 10th floor by her colleagues and by the doctor.
