Jennifer Stevens discharged a patient today and when the patient got home, she realized that she didn't have her home medications. The patient did not have anyone to come back to the hospital to pick up the medications that she needed. Jennifer took the patient her medications which was a 45-minute drive, out of her way, after working a 12-hour shift. That is an amazing nurse and I am so proud to say that I work with such an awesome person.
