Jennifer educated me on the life-saving techniques that my wife needed to do to recover. She gave us hope and gave my wife the will to fight.
My wife was admitted for COVID pneumonia last week. It wasn’t long after, that things went from bad to worse. My wife spiraled out of control after 2 days. She went from 1 liter of oxygen to 15 liters overnight. Nobody coached me nor informed me of what we could be doing to help her. Everyone told me that all we can do is ‘wait and see’. Jennifer, however, was very candid with me. She educated me on the life-saving techniques that my wife needed to do to recover. She gave us hope and gave my wife the will to fight. She told me that we had to be very strict with my wife, forcing her to do her breathing exercises every hour and forcing her to lay face down right after to recover. Jennifer did this ALL DAY with her and brought her from 15 liters of oxygen all the way down to 2 liters in ONE DAY. She didn’t stop there. She created a communication dynamic between me and the night shift nurse to stay on this course. The night shift nurse communicated with me all night and they were aggressive with my wife. The night shift nurse then did the same thing by communicating to the next day shift nurse and they teamed together to stay the course that Jennifer had started and organized.
I honestly feel that Jennifer saved my wife. If it wasn’t for her, I doubt we would have had the outcome we had. She is the #1 player in the COVID ward, bar none! I love and appreciate her more than words can describe for saving my wife. Love to Jen!
