Jenny is a nurse who routinely goes above and beyond when caring for our Kaiser members. During her shift today, Jenny volunteered to go check on our patient who was in the ICU. She made sure to include the patient's husband and brought the baby to her. Since the patient had an emergency immediately following delivery, this was the patient's first time getting to see and hold the baby. Jenny stayed in the ICU for an extended period, allowing the patient to be skin-to-skin and have the bonding time they both needed. Jenny created a special moment for a new mother going through an incredibly scary time. I know the patient and her family are very thankful.
