We are two adoptive fathers and our son was born at 37 weeks with respiratory distress. Jenn was his nurse in NICU and she was so caring, compassionate and wonderful with him. What truly touched us was her patience with us, the adoptive fathers. She encouraged us to ask questions, she was patient and made every interaction an opportunity to explain to use what was happening and teach us the experience she has. Her empathy and compassion put us at ease, and she helped ensure we were at our best to support our son. She took the time to show us what to do, have us try it, and then she would encourage us.
We may be two dads adopting a baby boy, but she treated us and made us feel like a loving family.
