I came into the hospital in hopes of catching the patient's doctor to get an update on her status. The surgeon had already been in and was gone. I was frustrated by that. The doctor had not posted a note in the patient's chart, and she has short-term memory loss. She was unable to share what the doctor had said. Enter fabulous Jenny. When I expressed my need for information, she came in and took the time to share the surgeon's thoughts and plans. She explained it in layman's terms so I could understand what was going to happen. Her time, demeanor, and caring attitude were a Godsend.
