Jenny Cameron, RN

Jenny had a patient that was in diagnostics for a stress test. She had been at a previous care facility and recently transferred to St. Francis with a heel fracture that limited her use of her left foot and; thus, her ability to ambulate and care for herself. The patient was an elderly woman that hadn't had a good bath in quite some time due to a recent transfer. This patient was so upset with her appearance smell and general outward appearance. So, while the patient was waiting in between routine wait times for her stress test; Jenny assisted the patient with a bed bath AND a hair wash!! Not with some dry shampoo but with warm water and soap! The patient was so overjoyed stating "I don't normally look like this I take pride in my appearance...I put makeup on and wash and curl my hair. I use lotion and perfumes". The patient was so upset with how she appeared when she came into diagnostics but left overly joyed and GRATEFUL for feeling clean and fresh!! This is something that most nurses in an outpatient setting would not even think of. Jen took her level of care and concern ABOVE and BEYOND!! Nice work Jenny!
