I feel like Jenny saved my life by noticing something didn’t look right about my incision. It was red and swollen. She immediately called the doctor on call that Sunday. He came in and looked at it and told her to watch it. She drew a mark around it and within 2 hours it was spreading so she called the doctor back. I had emergency surgery that night and then went to ICU. I requested to return to 3A, Jenny’s floor and ended up having another surgery and another stay in ICU. Jenny even checked on my wife when I was in ICU. Jenny deserves this award because of her excellence in nursing, compassion and care for me and my wife!
Jenny’s care and concern makes her a great nurse. We will never forget her!
