Jenny Rushing is the consummate nurse. Jenny is a caring and compassionate nurse who brings a level of empathy to her patients that is unsurpassed by many nurses that have cared for my wife. She always strives to make my wife comfortable and deliver the best care from a nursing standpoint. From gently stroking my wife's forehead, to fondly caressing her hand while asking her if she was okay or in pain. Her voice is gentle, and her smile effervescent.
On Monday morning, I was leaving my wife's room at 6:30 to go to work. It was a very difficult decision for me, as I was contemplating being separated from her for 9 hours. Jenny was in the room, and I asked her if she would check on her periodically, just to ensure she was fine. Jenny saw that I was somewhat apprehensive about leaving, and she alleviated my fears by telling me she would stay in the room with her and do her charting on the computer! Jenny is making a difference at Kaiser.
