She is very sensitive, but Nurse Jenny had a lot of chemistry with her, she won her trust and her heart and with it, our affection.
My 8-year-old daughter had never set foot in a hospital, much less in an operating room, but on this occasion, she had an appendectomy procedure. She is very sensitive, but Nurse Jenny had a lot of chemistry with her, she won her trust and her heart and with it, our affection.
Jennyfer was very involved with our daughter, she talked with her about how she felt and what she liked. For example, D likes coloring a lot, inside the hospital she had no materials to do this activity, but to our surprise, Jenny brought her some colors and drawings.
Jennyfer encouraged and motivated her to eat, and to do the exercises prescribed by the doctor, she also did her hair so she would look very pretty for her dad; Jennyfer even gave her some hair ornaments and D was very happy about that. Also, she lent D her glasses (She liked them very much) and they took pictures together.
My birthday was the following weekend and Jenny told her that she had to recover to celebrate my birthday together... and actually, we were discharged from the hospital that day. Days before I asked her if she already had bought a present for me and my daughter said no, so Jennyfer came with a drawing that said "Happy Birthday Mom" so that she could color it and give it to me.
My daughter became so fond of Jennyfer that even when she had to leave the hospital, she was very sad, she missed her and asked me when she was coming back, they talked to each other as if they were friends, it made my daughter's whole experience in the hospital more pleasant.
Jenny did an extraordinary job, she has a great heart and empathy with the patients, we want to congratulate her for having such an extraordinary angel and for changing my daughter's attitude and mood.
