All the nurses who took care of my dad were wonderful, but Jeremiah comes to mind mostly because I observed his interaction with my dad. Jeremiah would help my dad brush his teeth and soothe the itching in his arms and legs by applying lotion to his skin. When I would leave for the night I knew my dad was comfortable. He would write and it was sort of a game trying to figure out what he was writing. I was asking for a chaplain to administer last rites but couldn't get the words out, he instinctively knew what I was trying to say and reached out for the chaplain. All the nurses assigned to my dad were tremendous and were very patient and compassionate in listening to our family's concerns. It made our last day with him, as painful as it was, uncomplicated. Thank you all for what you do. You all will be remembered.
