Jeremiah is a caring and compassionate manager that believes in being fair to everyone.
The past several years has found the healthcare industry, including Piedmont Athens Regional, challenged in innumerable ways as we all have had to trudge through the valley of a pandemic. As we have gone through the valley, the staff here on the neurology floor at Piedmont Athens Regional have relied on our manager to lead and guide us. We have found a true leader in Jeremiah Harbin. For these reasons, the neuro staff would like to recognize our manager, Jeremiah Harbin, with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
Jeremiah always tries to help his staff in any way possible. He is someone you can talk to about anything, no matter if it's work-related or just everyday life, free from judgment. Jeremiah is continually brainstorming ways to make improvements to our unit. He involves staff in brainstorming and generating ideas to make the unit better for both patients and staff. He is never too busy to lend a helping hand whatever the task may be, from cleaning the unit to patient care. He is always there to assist the nurses or simply answer the phone at the desk. Jeremiah is a caring and compassionate manager that believes in being fair to everyone. Jeremiah is a manager who cares about his staff's well-being. He always has a smile on his face that helps keep morale positive. He is hardworking and dedicated. He is a manager that goes above and beyond, even while having to wear so many hats. To us, he is more than a manager.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be." That is Jeremiah Harbin.
Note: This is Jeremiah's 2nd DAISY Award!
