Jeremy has recently attended the Trauma Certified Registered Nurses (TCRN) review course and is planning on taking the national certification exam. He is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nursing and a member of the local chapter, the Greater New Orleans Association of Critical Care Nursing. Jeremy was nominated and was recognized as a New Orleans City Business Health Care Hero last year in 2019.
In March of 2019, Jeremy stepped up to assist as the Interim Director of the Burn Unit. Not long after, the Burn staff were requesting that Jeremy remain the permanent Director. And more recently, that was accomplished. He is currently the Director of both the TICU and Burn Center. Currently, much of his attention is focused on having the Burn Unit receive its first verification from the American Burn Association.
Under Jeremy's leadership, the unit's NDNQI nursing satisfaction scores have increased over the previous year in Autonomy, Professional Status, Professional Development Opportunity, and Job Enjoyment. At the time of this nomination, the TICU has been 243 days without a CLASBSI and 139 days without a CAUTI.
