Jeremy came in and not only stood there with the family but also prayed with us over her and for her peaceful passing.
My 82-year-old Grandmother suffered a massive stroke and was placed on a ventilator with no chance of survival. I live in Ohio and had to catch the earliest flight out which put me landing in Corpus Christi after visiting hours. Still determined to try and see my Grandma, I went to the hospital anyway. As soon as I was let upstairs, I was greeted by Jeremy, who introduced himself as my grandmother's ICU nurse. He walked me into her room and told me that I was welcome to stay for as long as I needed to. He came into the room to check on me and make sure I didn’t need anything; he answered the questions I had since I had just flown in. Not once did he ever seem annoyed or agitated by my presence there. The next night, my grandmother was taken off of the ventilator, and before it happened, we asked for her to have her last rights read to her. Jeremy came in and not only stood there with the family but also prayed with us over her and for her peaceful passing. Once my grandmother had passed, he gave his sincere condolences and ensured we were kept up to date with what steps were next with Hospice before we left for the night. Jeremy was an outstanding ICU nurse and very compassionate about his patients and their families. He made a very sad situation super pleasant, and I hope he continues to share that with all of his next patients and families.
