Jeremy Schmidt, BSN, RN

Jeremy took care of our mom for 2 nights. She was struggling both nights, and sadly, the next day didn’t make it. For the nights Jeremy took care of our mom, he advocated for not only what was best for mom, but the love, kindness, and compassion he showed our mom was above and beyond anything I could have asked for. He kneeled at her bedside many times during the night, holding her hand, offering words of reassurance and coaching her through breathing. My sister and I come from a healthcare background, but everything is different when it's someone you love. Jeremy talked through things nurse to nurse and helped to separate the emotion and fear we were all experiencing to focus on what was best for mom and us. I hope he realizes how much this meant to us and how much comfort he offered all of us during this tragic time. We will never be able to convey what his actions meant to me, my sister, and my mom.
