Status Update -"Out HUD VASHING"
HUD VASH is a strategic and time-consuming program in the VA where individual time is vital to program success. Jeremy is the first nurse who has joined the HUD VASH team in Altoona, and he has only made the program better for the Veterans.
When you read Jeremy's status update, "Out HUD VASHING," a veteran might be driven to the food bank, being picked up for an MD appointment, or, in one special case, being taken to the soup kitchen with his plastic support skeleton, known as "Bones," buckled in the back seat, simply because the Veteran wanted it to come along. Due to short staffing, Jeremy continues to volunteer for any Veteran need in his scope of practice and makes many, many phone calls just to get to know our Veterans better and remind them they are not alone. Everyone on the HUD VASH team needs to provide an away message, and as a fellow team member with Jeremy - I want to be out and doing more "HUD VASHING."
