My husband was a patient in the Heart Hospital. He had 2 stents placed and was there for four days. His blood pressure was too high and he was having trouble breathing. Through all this, Jerica monitored him constantly. As my health is failing, I forgot to bring my inhaler from home, which is in Sunbury, NC. I was having difficulty breathing and couldn’t even get downstairs to my daughter who had brought the inhaler for me. Jerica took me down in a wheelchair, although my daughter was in front of the Sentara Main Hospital. So she wheeled me all the way through the hospital to my daughter. My husband is not an easy patient and her attitude turned him around. He was scared with his high blood pressure and she immediately calmed him down, called his physician, and was able to work to get his blood pressure under control. She is just AWESOME! I have been to many hospitals but have never had a nurse as great as Jerica!
