I'm not a big fan of going to the doctor. I never have been. I have pretty bad anxiety in general, and it always gets worse when I have to see the doctor. I don't know what it is about Jerry that is different than everyone else, but there is something. He's very kind and knowledgeable. He knows me. I'm not just a number.
Last week, my visit wasn't just about being sick. I was having some mental health issues. Jerry didn't leave me alone in the room; he stayed and talked to me. He made me feel comfortable. What he does for me mentally every visit is more than I could ever repay him. It's not always the sickness that you can see that needs to be treated, and Jerry knows that.
I love his wit and his caring. He is a great example of what a great nurse is especially for Veterans. Thank you, Jerry, and best of luck. You are the best!
