There is not one specific story or situation but many that Jerry has done over the years. No nurse I have ever known has taken their own free time away from work to show compassion and representation at what a good human being should be to one another. From volunteering and playing live music in patients' rooms to visiting the patients after they have been discharged to see how they are doing post-hospital stay, to the littlest thing of bringing a Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. that a specific patient was dying to have and surprise them with it. It's all the little acts is of kindness that Jerry does that signify what "Making Man Whole" is all about. And Jerry does it not for the act or want of compensation or reward but just for a simple smile and thank you.
