Jerry was going about his duties as a Clinical Informatics System Analyst, testing the electronic charting with the Respiratory Therapists, when he noticed a patient requiring emergent intervention. As Jerry is an RN who still works in the clinical setting on a per diem basis, he assessed the situation and took immediate action to assist the patient. The situation escalated rapidly and Jerry participated in administering CPR while the code was called. Jerry wasn't "on duty" in his clinical role at the time, but he is a dedicated nurse all the time!
