October 2023 Honoree
Je'Shawn Williams, RN
My 6-year-old son, R, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Whenever your child is diagnosed with a long-term illness, it hurts. As for R, he's reliable and rolls with the punches. At R's first follow-up visit, I met Je'Shawn. Je'Shawn has been nothing but wonderful. He goes above and beyond to ensure that R has what he needs, and for a 6-year-old newly diagnosed with diabetes, that is a lot.
Just last week, he told me that if I had any issues with insurance approving R's blood monitoring strips, he would place a prior authorizations. His saying that blew me away because I know what goes into placing prior authorizations. His willingness to go above and beyond meant the world to me because I knew that he would take care of my child like one of his own.

Thank you, Je'Shawn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
