Jesney has become someone who I can rely on in any situation. We had an experience in clinical where a patient of mine was a full assist and had several pieces of care ranging from g-tube feedings, to medication administration, to cleaning, to bed changing, and more, as I'd come to learn. I ended up attempting to begin to do so on my own with the instructor and without asking, Jesney jumped in and helped me to complete the tasks one at a time even when midway through the tube feeding, the patient had a bowel movement, she quickly identified that the g-tube's line was close to coming in contact and acted when I was hooking up an IV. She helped me and the instructor through the tasks, which took upwards of 90 minutes within contact isolation precautions. She did this without asking and without complaint, and although it may not seem like a crazy encounter, it still exemplifies Jesney as a fellow student who is there for fellow classmates, does the work without complaint and adapts along the way, is trustworthy and reliable, and does so still with positivity. She is someone whom I am lucky to have the privilege to work with and be in the same cohort, as she is helping me through the program just as much as I am for her.
