Jess cared for me during my recent hospitalization, and in what can often be a stressful and uncertain experience, she consistently demonstrated both exceptional professionalism and genuine compassion. From the very beginning, she treated my family and me with dignity and respect—knocking before entering, listening attentively, clearly explaining what was happening, and honoring my preferences whenever possible. I never felt rushed or dismissed. Instead, I felt truly seen, heard, and valued.

Jess communicated with integrity, openly sharing what she knew and following through on any questions or concerns that required further clarification. She took my needs seriously, advocated appropriately on my behalf, and kept me informed every step of the way, creating a strong sense of trust and reassurance throughout my stay.

What set Jess apart was not only her clinical excellence but also the thoughtful, personal touches she brought to my care. She consistently checked on my comfort, took time to engage in meaningful conversation beyond the clinical needs, and demonstrated kindness in small but impactful ways, such as taking out the garbage after each visit and caring for my flowers, which my loved one brought, by watering and placing them on the windowsill. These gestures made me feel cared for as a whole person, not just a patient.

Jess supported my healing through both attentive care and patient-centered education, explaining medications and next steps in a way that was clear and easy to understand. She ensured I had what I needed to rest and recover. It was also evident that she worked seamlessly with the entire care team, communicating effectively across shifts to ensure continuity and alignment in my care.

Throughout my stay, Jess demonstrated excellent clinical judgment and proactive problem-solving, anticipating needs, offering solutions, and addressing concerns before they escalated. Her attention to detail, thorough assessments, commitment to safety, and calm, reassuring presence reflected the highest standards of nursing practice. She also demonstrated strong stewardship, balancing efficiency and thoughtful care in a busy healthcare environment.
