Many times, my husband has had to stay in various hospitals. In what can be a very stressful experience, the amazing health care personnel have shown their support and quality of care that is needed for each case at hand. Occasionally, you stumble upon someone who really takes their job to heart by going above and beyond the call. We found that in this RN at Waterman AdventHealth during the first 3 nights of his stay. She is a young and enthusiastic nurse working in the ICU. Her personality is one that brings positivity and joy to the room as soon as she walks in. She puts the patient's needs first, along with addressing the family member's needs. She takes time to get to know you, so you don't feel like someone on an assembly line. She shows such compassion, kindness, and respect to everyone around her. Her ability to retain and relay the knowledge she has acquired through her training and experience is remarkable. She could present it with such detail, in easy to understand/layman's terms. She didn't sugarcoat anything but let you know exactly what to prepare for in every circumstance. Most times, you didn't even have to ask a question because she kind of already knew what was on your mind. In my opinion, she is an asset to this hospital that should be recognized for her devotion and dedication. She's a keeper!
