Jess went above and beyond the call of duty to do what it takes to make me comfortable. There is no big story that stands out the most just being there every time no matter what. That is the big story for me. As the patient's wife I would like to just thank her for always being so helpful and always being so nice and having that big smile. She is like a ray of sunshine on some gloomy days. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are truly the best.

She went above and beyond in her care for me. I was admitted to the Observation Unit with a broken wrist due to intense pain from the carpal nerve with the expectation that I needed surgery. After 4 hours in the ER, my pain management was not under control. So, at 6 am we were moved to a room where we waited to be seen by a surgeon. By mid-day, through her investigating skills, she discovered that the surgeon was not going to be able to help. She realized that this was important for me to be seen by an ortho surgeon while in the hospital. She worked hard on locating another surgeon, specifically a hand surgeon. She recognized my urgent care needs and through persistence, I was able to get the surgery that night.
Jess was always friendly, empathetic and understanding whenever she interacted with me or my family. She continued to provide ideas for care and didn't give up on getting me what I needed, even though she sensed my frustration with having to wait. I truly appreciated how she invested in my care. When I went to my follow up appointment I told the surgeon how great she and all of the nurses were and she was impressed.
