The nomination for Jesse is echoed by all professionals in our organization. The catalyst that propelled the award committee to initiate Jesse’s nomination is our recognition of the 14 years he has honorably served our members. Years of meticulous patient care in CVICU and Hospice have emboldened Jesse to lead with mature confidence and profound wisdom. His leaders, peers, and subordinates view Jesse as a competent, enthusiastic leader who always exercises empathy and initiative. His team members regularly seek his counsel for expertise on the proper handling of clinical situations as well as thoughtful interpretation and execution of health policy.

Jesse is recognized by his peers and subordinates as a patient and passionate educator. As an individual, Jesse has directly trained thousands of patients and family members to empower self-care and improve quality of life. As a leader, Jesse has overseen the training of hundreds of medical professionals in tactical combat casualty care and basic first aid training for thousands of non-medical members. This training has augmented the enhancement of patient outcomes and enabled members of our organization to provide superior patient care in austere environments with confidence. Jesse has proven himself a noble mentor and magnanimous model for future nurse leaders to follow.
